Our Founderās Journey
I am John Fout, the founder of Irishtouristradio, and my passion for Irish tourism runs deep. I studied Cultural and Heritage Studies at Dublinia, where I appreciated Irelandās rich history and culture. This led me to work as a tour guide at iconic sites like Aviva Stadium, St. Patrickās Cathedral, and the Croke Park Museum, where I shared stories with visitors for over two years at Croke Park alone.
However, my journey took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with a brain tumor, which later led to PPPD (Persistent Postural Perceptual Dizziness), a condition causing chronic dizziness. This made it challenging to continue as a tour guide, but my love for Ireland remained undiminished.
Why Irishtouristradio?
Irishtouristradio is my way of sharing Irelandās beauty and history with the world despite my physical limitations. By leveraging AI, I create high-quality podcast episodes that explore Irelandās destinations, attractions, events, and activities. Our directory provides a curated list of the best places to visit, stay, and experience in Ireland, making trip planning seamless and enjoyable.
Transparency with AI
We are open about our use of AI in content creation. AI helps generate scripts, select voices, and mix music and sound effects for engaging podcasts. I review and curate the content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and authenticity, maintaining the highest quality standards.
Our Radio Past
Previously, Irishtouristradio had a live radio component using Radionomyās server and play-out system, which handled royalties through SABAM. Unfortunately, Radionomy went out of business, so we had to take down the radio part. Weāre exploring alternatives to bring back this feature and will keep our community informed.
